The Emerging African Infrastructure Fund lends to businesses engaged in owning, building and operating infrastructure and businesses that manufacture products subsequently used in infrastructure operation. The Fund can also lend to enterprises creating manufacturing or processing facilities supplying vital sectors like agriculture.
The world of infrastructure is constantly changing. New technologies, new opportunities and changing patterns in trade, demographics, economics and enterprise create new demands and new opportunities. It is because we live in a world of endless change that the Fund is able to be flexible in the projects it considers investing with. Our investment track record shows that alongside traditional projects we support new and innovative technologies, fresh business models and entrepreneurial managements.
We have been in on the ground floor of the regeneration of economies in the wake of conflict. We know the challenges of distance, climate, geography and finance that Africa can present. We know too that Africa is alive with business potential. Our role is to help unlock potential and work with business for stronger African economies. Strong and stable economies are the vital elements needed to create sustainable conditions long term growth and the eradication of poverty.
