EAIF issues advisor tender for project in Kenya

EAIF will be appointing an independent technical advisor to act as Lender Technical Advisor for the appraisal and due diligence of the Homa Bay Biogas One Project. The Project is the first of a series of biogas plants, with a total feed-in generation capacity of 35 MW, using water hyacinth from Lake Victoria and sugar cane waste (bagasse) as feedstock. The Project’s first roll-out phase includes the 12.7 MW biogas plant in Kobala, Homa Bay County, Kenya and will produce, in addition to power, fertilizer and liquid CO2. The Request For Proposal details the project and the scope of work for the LTA. Proposals shall be submitted before 19 April 2021.
